Sun Parakeet (also known as Sun Conure)

One of these little guys bit me Monday.

Ouch!

This photo doesn't do this incandescent bird justice. Their coloring is splendidly superb and their name is dead on.

My two takeaways from this experience are a) Sun conures are super loud. His parents have to wheel him outside because of his piercing cries. b) His beak is super sharp.

Next time I'm using gloves.
